Fighting For Our Country & Futures
The role of government is to protect our God-given rights. Government does not grant those rights, and has no power to take away those rights unless “We the People”, allow tyranny to continue unchallenged. We need to speak up boldly to preserve religious freedom and all our God-given rights, always guiding government to value life, family, property rights, and truth.
Whenever government steps beyond its role of protecting life, liberty, and property, unintended negative consequences ensue, and usually the exact opposite of government’s stated goal. We must require government to stay within the bounds granted in the Constitution, and not usurp any other powers. The Constitution works when it is adhered too.

ABOUT MARTHA
Martha Velazquez, is a volunteer and community support type person, who loves people and building relationships with her community friends and neighbors. When ever there is someone who needs a helping hand, Martha is always the first to step up and lend a hand. Martha has 25 years of expertise in customer service, sales, operations, budgeting, and management/leadership. Martha attends University of Houston Downtown (UHD) working on her bachelors degree. Martha is on the academic policy and student discipline committee, is the president of PiGammaMu honor society, the executive officer for the Pre-Law Association, and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success. Veterans' Affairs and Animal Rescue are the two causes near and dear to Martha’s heart, and she has devoted untold amounts of time in support of these causes.
Martha current serves on the Bridgestone MUD as a board director constantly looking out for the community, and encouraging fiscally sound principles when making decisions that spend tax payer funds. Additionally Martha serves on the Gosling Pines HOA Board for the past 11 years helping to keep her community pristine in this volunteer and elected position.
If elected, Martha will continue to represent her neighbors and friends as their grassroots representative in the Harris County Republican Party. Martha will fight against exploitation of children, illegal immigration, corruption in our local government, and work to get out the vote so we can keep the county, state, and country so many have fought for.
Martha believes government’s role is to protect our God-given rights; government doesn’t grant those rights, and has no power to take away those rights—unless we allow tyranny to continue unchallenged. We need to be bold in speaking up to preserve religious freedom and all our other God-given rights, always guiding government to value life, family, property rights, and truth. When asked what kind of government the Constitutional Convention had produced, Benjamin Franklin said, “A Republic, if you can keep it.” Martha’s mission is to restore and preserve our constitutional republic.
